The article describes the type of modernization of the deaerator unit of the deaerator, by introducing the placement unit, also some types of packing elements are produced. Conclusions are drawn and recommendations were developed on these types of deaerator modernization.

The article describes the type of modernization of deaerator column of V-D 400 deaerator installed on the Astrakhan thermal power station-2 through implementation of placing unit, it has also made a design analysis of a desired height of nozzle layer. The authors have made some conclusions and developed recommendations for these types of deaerator modernization.
