В статье рассматривается структура, содержание социокультурного компонента преподавания иностранного языка. Развитие личности обучаемых находится в тесной связи с преподаванием культуры носителей языка, поэтому без знания социокультурной информации нельзя сформировать коммуникативную компетенцию. Известно, что использование социокультурной информации повышает познавательную активность обучающихся, способствует повышению мотивации к обучению.

This article examines the phenomenon of socio-cultural conditionality of updating the content of school education in Russia. Socio-cultural factors of updating the content of education have been identified on the basis of theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and educational research results and evidence of educational practice. The author shows the relationship between selected factors – the development of society, the state policy in the field of education, development of culture and science, development of pedagogical science and practice – and the specificity of their influence on the formation and implementation of the content of school education.

This article describes the problems of social risks in consumer behavior. Social risks are manifested in the consumer's loss when purchasing or its using of a part of his capacity: money, health or peace of mind. Social risks in consumption are influenced by many factors, chief among which are cultural factors. The authors reveal the impact of cultural factors on the social risks occurrence on the basis of aggregate indicators and data of a sociological survey conducted in the city of Volgograd.
