Its key theorist is John Dewey. It has four principles: Unity, Interest, Experience, and Integration. Proponents of this approach among teachers, use active project-based learning and problem- based strategies in the classroom and focus on topics relevant to students’ lives. This paper starts by shedding light on Join Dewey’s educational philosophy and its implication on Engineering education.
