Abstract
Профилактика стоматологических заболеваний из-за осложнений, связанных с заболеванием, остается на заднем плане. Пациенты с бета-талассемией подвергаются повышенному риску развития кариеса и заболеваний пародонта. Предрасполагающие факторы для инфекций у пациентов с талассемией включают анемию, перегрузку железом, спленэктомии, а также широкий спектр иммунных нарушений. В результате эти пациенты имеют риск инфекции после всех стоматологических процедур, связанных с бактериями. С учетом этого пациенты должны строго соблюдать программу профилактики и регулярно выполнять ее руководящие положения.
