Abstract
This article is result of studying of discourse from Gunter Grasś works. The elements of confession are typical for this literary genre allowed the author fully comprehend the realities and facts of the fortieth-fiftieth years in German history, refracted through the history of the private life of the author. Self-reflection of the character serves as a marker of the author's individual vision of the world, as well as an efficient way of modeling the character (the author's double)
