this article gives an assessment of main structural changes in an economy of region as conditions of development of Western-Yakutian oil and gas cluster, reflects the possibilities of territories creation of priority development in Western Yakutia, estimates the natural resource, economic, investment potential and the development of energy engineering and transport infrastructure, it also tries to estimate the population distribution, potential and specialization of settlements, characterizes the demographic processes, population reproduction, and migration flows.
