the article analyzes the causes of ethnic conflict in Kyrgyzstan. Determined that they are heterogeneous and dissimilar to geographical location (north and south). Sources of inter-ethnic conflicts are socio-economic factors. At the same time, in southern Kyrgyzstan causes of ethnic conflicts are fighting for supremacy in the area.
