in this article the application of vertical profilers is discussed, the relevance of their use, as well as a device itself and how it works. Authors analyzed characteristics of different types of sodars and its software. Also there was revealed and substantiated main disadvantages of modern sodars and solutions of these problems. On the basis of the study conclusions are made.
