the article analyzes the factors, constraining the competitiveness of the Russian economy, the negative impact of the export-commodity orientation on the economic development of the Russian Federation. The importance of innovative development, the digitization of the economy, the preservation and expansion of human capital to enhance the competitiveness of the national economy are underlined.
