Intensity of demutation processes in abandoned agricultural areas of submountain Crimea
Annotation
the article examines the intensity of secondary successions of vegetation in abandoned agricultural areas in submountain regions of Crimea. Floristic, age and quantitative range of the «pioneers» species of these phytocenoses’ settlement are identified by conventional forest inventory and geobotanical methods. The research proves the formation of transitional communities consisting of primary forest vegetation and grassy glade complexes with plenty of ruderal species and intensive mosaic grass stand, therefore secondary demutations are under discussion for decades.
