The relevance of the event is determined by the need to increase the level of financial literacy of modern schoolchildren, on the one hand, as a task of the state, and on the other, as a response to social demand from students and their parents. Games are a great way to make learning important and interesting facts fun for the younger generation. They stimulate cognitive interest, help to master a foreign language better, and develop qualities such as independence and initiative. In addition, games contribute to the formation of a team spirit: students actively work together, support each other and listen attentively, and the teacher acts as a mentor. To broaden the horizons of the students and introduce them to interesting facts about the culture of English-speaking countries, I use the game according to the rules of the popular TV show "Field of Miracles". It is intended for students in grades 8-10 and is dedicated to English idioms on the topic of "Money".

Авторы статьи отмечают, что для изучения идиом на уроке английского языка отводится мало времени. Английские идиомы раскрывают красоту и глубину языка, через них происходит познание не только смысловой стороны синтаксических единиц, но и народной мудрости англичан. Изучение английских идиом способствует повышению интереса к иностранному языку, развитию речи и мышления говорящего. Особенно эта тема интересна для учащихся на начальной ступени изучения английского языка. Идиомы можно изучать в процессе игры, вовлекая как можно больше учеников.
