The author points out that for the full development of preschool children, psychological and pedagogical conditions are necessary that promote the development of the child's emotional sphere. One of the effective conditions is the use of effective methods of familiarization with the nature of the native land, which contribute to the development of emotional representations. Important conditions for the formation of emotional representations through familiarization with nature are: the organization of direct interaction with objects of nature in the course of observation and practical activity, the creation of situations for the accumulation and expansion of the experience of emotional representations associated with natural phenomena.

Summary: patriotism occupies a special place among the basic national values, which became the basis of spiritually-moral development, education and socialization of students. Despite the relevance of the generated categories, the analysis of pedagogical literature on the research topic highlights both the contradictory interpretations of patriotism, and for its lack of methodological justification.
