This paper examines two main concepts in the diagnosis of personality disorders: categorical and dimensional. It presents historical aspects of the study of personality disorders, describes the characteristics of the normative level of personality functioning, pathological personality traits, and an understanding of the nature of personality disorders. A critical review of the literature has been con-ducted, and the main theoretical postulates of the categorical approach to the diagnosis of personality disorders within various classifications have been de-scribed. (DSM-5, ICD-10, etc.) are presented, the clinical heterogeneity of the manifestations of various personality disorders is shown, and the shortcomings of the categorical approach are pointed out. The necessity of transitioning to a dimensional approach in the diagnosis and study of clinical manifestations of personality disorders is justified.

В статье проведен анализ основных причин преступного поведения, дана оценка мотивации преступного поведения. Автор исследует разные аспекты личности преступника и его возможные мотивы, которые влияют на выбор преступления как способа достижения своих потребностей.

В статье сделана попытка раскрыть факторы, обусловливающие выбор руководителем того или иного стиля управления в работе с персоналом. В частности, исследованы личностные особенности руководителей и их взаимосвязи со стилями управления.
