The part of the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of automation is the use of training and laboratory stands in the educational process of bachelors of the specialty 5B070200 "Automation and Control". At the department "Automation of production processes" (APP) of KSTU widely used laboratory complexes based on the equipment of world companies. The goals and objectives of the development of a new teaching and laboratory stand are determined. Studies of the selected programmable logic controller (PLC) are performed. PLC-compatible hardware and programming environment for the PLC is searched. The laboratory stand “Mechanical processing area” is selected as the control object. A flowchart of the control object and its control system have been developed. The main goal is the creation of a laboratory and methodological complex for studying the stand “Control system based on a Mitsubishi FХ5U controller” to control a real object — a belt conveyor made by Fischer Technik.

The process of drilling wells using the automatic control system of the digital electric drive of the drilling winch (Simoreg 6RA7088), which belongs to the main drives of the drilling rig is considered in this paper. The productivity and efficiency of the drive of the drilling winch depends on the productivity and efficiency of the drilling rig as a whole. The author convincingly reveals and proves the advantages of using the electric drive Simoreg 6RA7088–6KS22: increase in durability and re-liability; reduction of commissioning and repair work; the decrease in the number of staff; increased productivity and economic efficiency from the installation of a DC motor with controlled by microprocessor Converter Simoreg 6RA7088–6KS22, compared with the DC motor controlled by thyristor voltage Converter of the type KTU-K14-UHL1.
