Abstract
The article is focused on analysis of trends in the development of the mortgage and insurance market in the period from 2007 to 2014. The article presents the Russian and international approaches to define the essence of mortgage insurance, reveals goals of mortgage system functioning, analyzes key indicators of mortgage market development and identified factors influencing its development.
