Abstract
The author discusses some intermediate results of learning with competence training model application in high school, engineering graphics in particular. It is shown that the transition from the "knowledge" model bears a formal character. It is alleged that all the virtues assined to "competence" model have been a characteristical trait of national education for a long time.
