The author of the article reviews different approaches to perception of the 20 th century music and suggests a personal interpretation of the problem under study. The author also presents some aspects of enhancing of listening comprehension of the 20 th century music among junior pupils of a children’s music school at the lesson «Listening Comprehension of Music».
