Abstract

The subject of this research is zeugma, as a mean of creating comic effect in short jokes. Zeugmas are analysed from the point of view of their morphological structures, syntactic structures and semantics. The article contains the description of zeugmas structural variants depending on presence/absence of valence, and type of zeugma according to its semantic coherence.
