Abstract
The article deals with one of the philosophical concepts of “space”, provides definitions of this concept, gives a brief overview of the word’s origin, and lists the main characteristics of space. Particular attention is paid to the issue of literary space. Several models of space structure are demonstrated, and some features of the Russian and the German linguistic worldviews are described.
