Antique hydraulic telegraph: a study of data rates in an experimental model

the paper deals with a historic comminication device which description came to us from books of Polybius - antique hydraulic telegraph. A special experimental model of such device was created and 100 signals were transfered by it. Data transmission rate and its correctness are studied.
