this article is devoted to the illegal seizure of a vehicle without intent to theft it. The constructive elements of the crime are analyzed, namely, the subject, the patrimonial, specific and direct object of the crime provided by Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Attention is paid to the reasons of the spread of this type of criminal assault in the conditions of the modern criminal situation. The relevance of the chosen topic in the context of Russian criminal law is explained.
