«Improving the efficiency of cutting ceramics with layered multicomponent functional composite materials»
The article deals with the problem of the development of materials science. The author pays special attention to the issue of the development of new materials, which is associated with the increasing requirements to boost the level of their physical, chemical, technological and operational properties and the creation of technologies for obtaining and production. The idea is substantiated that the development and production of instrumental materials is of particular scientific and practical interest. It is known that in mechanical engineering and other industries, labor productivity and the quality of machining of machine parts largely depends on the applied cutting ceramics (СС). The choice of material for the cutting part of the tool over the centuries has been a priority for science, technology and has been closely associated with the development of metallurgy, and more recently with powder metallurgy, the influence of concentrated energy flows, as well as physics and chemistry of solids.

«STUDY OF THE EFFECT OF COMBINED HARDENING TREATMENT ON THE WEAR RATE OF MINERALOCERAMIC»
The technological principles of increasing the physical and mechanical characteristics of oxide and nitride ceramics plates by surface treatment, combining various options of abrasive action and coating are revealed in this article. The author carried out the analysis of wear-resistant coating compositions for various operating conditions of ceramics and provided information about their effect on strength characteristics and the distribution of residual stresses in the surface layer.

Results of researches of authors group in the field of increase at cutting efficiency by the ceramic cutting tool in the conditions of the automated manufacturing are given in this publication. Main types of cutting ceramics destruction are analyzed. Recommendations about the choice of failure criterion of the ceramic cutting tool in the automated manufacturing are made. The method of calculation of the main characteristics of the ceramic tool reliability, such as failure rate, probability of non-failure, probability of tool failure is developed.
