The article provides the analyses of modern active learning methods that activate and accelerate the acquisition of foreign language communicative competence, adaptation to foreign language environment. Namely, active methods – communicative and competence, whose components are «brainstorming», «mind maps», «needs analysis», synectic method, role-plays are the elements of critical thinking. These methods are the most effective and meet the requirements of a modern business man. The methods defined are aimed solely at attracting language capacity and the development of communication skills by enhancing higher order thinking.

В данной статье исследуются особенности обучения иностранным языкам курсантов военного вуза с учетом основных тенденций развития межкультурной коммуникации. Автор рассматривает реализацию принципов межкультурной коммуникации на практических занятиях по иностранному языку при компетентностном подходе
