The article examines current issues of rational land use in the design of individual residential houses under modern settlement development conditions. Changes in land use structure associated with the reduction of plot sizes and increasing building density are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the formation of modern street and road networks, engineering preparation of territories, stormwater drainage systems, and the development of residential settlement infrastructure. The necessity of an integrated approach to territorial development before land allocation is substantiated. Recommendations aimed at improving architectural and planning solutions for enhancing the quality of the residential environment and ensuring sustainable development of settlements are proposed.

The article examines the principles of designing flexible architectural solutions based on a deep study of the functional purpose of objects, their possible transformation, and the use of modern design and planning techniques. Examples of successful functional transformation of buildings are given, such as the reconstruction of a tram depot in Moscow into a gastronomic cluster, as well as office buildings into residential complexes. Particular attention is paid to the importance of long-term planning and the introduction of universal spatial models that ensure the durability, sustainability and relevance of architecture.

The article examines the program for modeling relatively simple three-dimensional objects Google SketchUp, as a program that develops the creative abilities of students of grades 1-11 in the classroom "Introduction to 3-D modeling" in the summer as an out-of-school education. Learning to work with Google SketchUp is much easier than with other 3D modeling programs, so this program is suitable for a wide audience, both for younger students and for high school students.

The article examines the influence of natural and climatic factors on the architectural design of individual residential buildings. The main climatic parameters affecting planning and structural solutions, including temperature conditions, solar radiation, wind regime, precipitation and terrain characteristics, are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the conditions of the Republic of Tajikistan, characterized by diverse climatic zones and high seismic activity. The necessity of comprehensive consideration of climatic factors at the design stage to improve energy efficiency, durability and comfort of residential buildings is substantiated.
