«Event Tourism in Numbers: Problems and Prospects of its Development in the Tambov Region»
This article deals with the concept of event tourism on the example of the region. The author analyzes the state of the tourism industry in the Tambov region, identifies problems and shortcomings in this area, identifies numeri-cal indicators of tourist flow. The main events of the region are described, and the results of a comparative analysis are drawn.

Annotation: In this article authors have considered two resort towns of Palanga (Lithuania) and Zelenogradsk (The Kaliningrad region, Russia). The comparative table of some indicators of the tourist industry is submitted, advantages and shortcomings of resorts of the Baltic Sea have been defined.
