Abstract. This article discusses how students’ spatial thinking can be developed when geometry and stereometry are studied within a digital learning environment. The focus is on how learners work with visual images, mentally “rotate” shapes, transform their position, and understand how different elements are connected in space. Drawing on the works of domestic researchers and current educational documents of Kazakhstan, the text shows that the transition to digital learning has significantly expanded opportunities for such development. Interactive models, dynamic mathematics software, and various multimedia materials make explanations more visual and closer to real practice. Special attention is given to GeoGebra, which helps present complex configurations in a way that makes them easier for students to grasp and experiment with. The article also highlights effective teaching techniques and the difficulties students most often face when dealing with three-dimensional objects.

The article examines the importance of information technology in the development of mathematics. The key areas of influence of information technology on modern mathematics are discussed, including computational methods, visualization, collaboration, machine learning and the development of new mathematical fields.
