In this article studies of radiation radon characteristics of sites for the construction of the Volgograd region are presented. The regularities of radon distribution at the objects of the construction complex were established, depending on the influence of various factors. The studies made it possible to calculate the average annual effective equivalent doses to the population of the Volgograd Region caused by radon and daughter decay products.

«Concentration of radon in the premises and effective equivalent dose of exposure to the population of the Volgograd Region»
This article provides studies of radiation (radon) characteristics of premises in the Volgograd Region. The purpose of the study was to identify factors of the radiation background caused by radon in civil engineering objects. The regularities of radon distribution at the objects of the building complex are determined depending on the influence of various factors. The studies made it possible to calculate the average annual effective equivalent doses of exposure to the population of the Volgograd Region caused by radon and daughter products of decay.
