The article discusses the results of the study of the level of influence of value-motivational attitudes on the professional self-determination of students with sensory disorders. The information concerning the concept of «heuristic» and «heuristic thinking» are analyzed, as well as their relation to the professional competencies in the field of training «Special (defectological) education».
