One of the types of Russian army military supplies in the XVIII century was subsistence support. The purpose of this work is to systematize, significantly expand and supplement the existing information on these issues, taking into account the results of previous research and study of new archival and other sources. The article considers some actual moments of the organization of subsistence support of various Russian army military personnel categories in the considered period. Previously unpublished archival and other sources are introduced into scientific circulation.

In pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern Russian historiography the problem of evaluation of «foreign» influence in various periods in the development of Russia is more than actual, and thoroughly represented. The author notes that in this period, one of the areas of such influence was the activities of foreign («foreign») both military and civilian professionals of various profile and level, invited to the Russian service at the end of the XVII–XVIII centuries. In his article, the author, based on the study of new archival and other sources, attempts to evaluate the «pros» and «cons» of foreign influence, primarily on the development of the Russian state military science and military schools, as well as to strengthen the defense of the state during the first quarter of the XVIII century. In addition, for the first time the article introduces some archival sources into scientific circulation.

В данной работе рассматривается деятельность А.Ф. Реброва по улучшению, в некоторых аспектах, хозяйственной деятельности в имении Владимировка. В работе применяется принцип историзма, который показывает А.Ф. Реброва не только как опытника‐хозяйственника, но и человека, наблюдения которого привели к благоустройству имения, улучшению качества почв и возможности выращивания сельскохозяйственных культур.
