Автор акцентирует внимание на том, что, в различного рода источниках, посвященных данной проблематике, присутствуют противоречивые выводы и оценки, характеризующие, в первую очередь, состояние русской артиллерии во времена правления Екатерины II.

These works contain the analysis of the Russian artillery state and military science development, including artillery science during the period under consideration. The author pays attention to different sources dealing with this problem. The article provides contradictory conclusions and estimations characterizing, first of all, the Russian artillery state during the reign of Catherine the Great.
one of the types of Russian army military supplies in the XVIII century was subsistence support. The purpose of this work is to systematize, significantly expand and supplement the existing information on these issues, taking into account the results of previous research and study of new archival and other sources. The article considers some actual moments of the organization of subsistence support of various Russian army military personnel categories in the considered period. Previously unpublished archival and other sources are introduced into scientific circulation.
