«Kimon's military campaign in Caria and Lycia»
The article analyzes the reasons, course and results of the military campaign of the Athenian military commander Kimon in the southwest of Asia Minor. The author provides a brief comparative-historical and textual analysis of written sources and archaeological materials testifying the military-political activity of Athens in Caria and Lycia. An attempt is made to analyze the evolution of views on the problem within the framework of classical and modern historiography. Based on the involvement of a wide range of data, an attempt is made to analyze the evolution of the political influence of Athens in southwestern Anatolia.

«Political and legal perspectives of Vladimir Monomakh»
The article reveals the political views and legal ideas of the Grand Prince of Kiev, Vladimir Vsevolodovich Monomakh on the basis of the analysis of his works. The great statesman sought to show the problems of different areas of life of the ancient Russian society in his writings, but the prince's main ideas had political and legal content. Only a meaningful analysis of the political and legal views of Vladimir Monomakh will allow us to understand his point of view concerning the political and legal conjuncture of the Old Russian state.

«Artillery and artillery science at times of Catherine the Great»
The article presents a brief historical review of works published in different periods. These works contain the analysis of the Russian artillery state and military science development, including artillery science during the period under consideration. The author pays attention to different sources dealing with this problem. The article provides contradictory conclusions and estimations characterizing, first of all, the Russian artillery state during the reign of Catherine the Great.
