В статье рассматриваются дискуссионные вопросы места и роли прокуратуры РФ в системе государственных органов, определяются направления и способы взаимодействия прокуратуры с законодательной, исполнительной и судебной властью, а также с Президентом Российской Федерации. Особое внимание автор уделяет усиливающейся роли прокуратуры, связанной с предоставлением ей новых полномочий и нового порядка назначения прокуроров высшего звена при непосредственном участии Президента РФ. Автор приходит к выводу, что прокуратуру следует рассматривать как орган государственной власти с особым статусом, не принадлежащий ни к одной ветви власти, но взаимодействующий с каждым из них.
