Abstract
The article deals with the role of staff training for the tourism industry, the analysis of directions of preparation in higher educational institutions and specialties in secondary special educational institutions is given. The analysis of existing educational programs is given; the main problems of training personnel for tourism, the poor quality of practical training of students, the need to improve the educational process in terms of improving educational programs, the introduction of new technologies and methods for teaching students, the organization of professional training of teachers, the quality of textbooks and teaching aids, the need for introduction of new technologies in the educational process are represented.
