Abstract
The selection of learning content and principles of teaching intercultural communication at an institution of higher education should correspond to the aims of intercultural education, modern tendencies of linguistic education. The article draws attention to major types of activities that a university graduate is to perform within the swcope of intercultural communication, and principles of teaching intercultural communication
