The economic substantiation for choosing the hopper car for the transportation of grain

the article studied the choice of parameters for the hopper car for transportation the most popular grain cargoes and on the basis of this calculated the required fleet. The authors point out the economic feasibility of the purchase of specialized cars only in case when the total value of required depot of cars, which is calculated by increasing the proportion of «light» cargo in the total cargo turnover, is lower for specialized cars than for universal.
