The article seeks to examine cruelty to children in the medieval time period. Analyzed and tracked features such as: mortality; specific relevance to the education of children in that period of time; basic rights and duties, both children and parents; the example of the Scandinavian people. On the basis of the conducted analysis it was concluded how a character has grown and how the children were surrounded with care; how to raise children in the middle ages, and as brought up in our time.
