The article presents a methodology for conducting an educational project for 8th-9th grade students, aimed at applying mathematical methods to analyze the environmental situation. Using the example of the Kozlovsky Municipal District, a model has been developed to calculate the effectiveness of implementing a separate collection system for municipal solid waste.
