The process of drilling wells using the automatic control system of the digital electric drive of the drilling winch (Simoreg 6RA7088), which belongs to the main drives of the drilling rig is considered in this paper. The author convincingly reveals and proves the advantages of using the electric drive Simoreg 6RA7088–6KS22: increase in durability and re-liability; reduction of commissioning and repair work; the decrease in the number of staff; increased productivity and economic efficiency from the installation of a DC motor with controlled by microprocessor Converter Simoreg 6RA7088–6KS22, compared with the DC motor controlled by thyristor voltage Converter of the type KTU-K14-UHL1.

It is shown that when creating a tractor TDT-55, one of the most important elements of technological equipment was a winch, which it was expedient to use in the design of the tractor TB-1.
