Lithological triangles are used in order to construct a geological lithofacies map under the conditions of significant bore-hole mud weight. The placement of these triangles’ points and their triangular coordinates do not always coincide. Gibbs triangle and Gibbs-Rosebom triangle are used in physical chemistry. The second is better developed. The planimetry theorems are the basis for the rules of constructing and using the triangle.
