The article discusses the main approaches to providing psychological assistance to children with ASD in overcoming the development of speech communications: early intervention, teaching alternative ways of communication, using visual supports, creating a supportive speech environment, developing individual training programs along with game motivation, etc., which help children develop communication skills in various situations of speech interaction.

This article presents a theoretical analysis and the essential characteristics of the concepts «competence», «communicative competence». The author substantiates the need to create special pedagogical conditions for the successful formation of communicative competence in children of senior preschool age. The purpose and methods of studying the level of formation of communicative competence in 5–6 years old children, as well as the results of this study are presented.

The article presents the main approaches to the definition of «regionalism». Thematic groups of regionalisms of Ekaterinburg: street names, monuments, educational institutions are examined. Collected regionalisms complement «the Dictionary of regionalisms» in the city of Yekaterinburg under the editorship of T.V. Popova. Regionalisms acquaint residents and visitors of Yekaterinburg with conversation, modern language.
