The notary is an integral part of civil society and should be understood as one of the elements of the mechanism for protecting the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in the Russian Federation. The article identifies and discusses current problems of legal regulation of the implementation of notarial protection and protection of civil rights, as well as a number of solutions aimed at eliminating them. In turn, it is proposed to amend the legislation, create a federal register of issued powers of attorney and strengthen verification of the authenticity of documents.
