The relevance of the event is determined by the need to increase the level of financial literacy of modern schoolchildren, on the one hand, as a task of the state, and on the other, as a response to social demand from students and their parents. Games are a great way to make learning important and interesting facts fun for the younger generation. They stimulate cognitive interest, help to master a foreign language better, and develop qualities such as independence and initiative. In addition, games contribute to the formation of a team spirit: students actively work together, support each other and listen attentively, and the teacher acts as a mentor. To broaden the horizons of the students and introduce them to interesting facts about the culture of English-speaking countries, I use the game according to the rules of the popular TV show "Field of Miracles". It is intended for students in grades 8-10 and is dedicated to English idioms on the topic of "Money".

Abstract: this article analyzes the structural-semantic functioning of idioms as a component of the nominative phraseological units on the pages of modern English periodicals.

Annotation: The semantic role of phraseology and sustainable comparison in the text of the artwork is analyzed in the article. The attention to the function of the phraseological unit as a key unit in the text is drawn.

Nowadays, many linguists study phraseological units. Authors in newspaper texts often use idioms, thanks to their unique emotion. In this article, we look at newspaper headlines and texts with modified phraseological units.
