В статье затрагивается тема отображения действительности в человеческом сознании и языке. Статья посвящена когнитивнолингвистической проблеме реконструкции языковой картины мира с целью получить доступ к представлениям о действительности носителей данного языка. В статье представлена иллюстрация методики реконструкции отдельного семантического поля как части языковой картины мира на материале художественного произведения с применением таких специальных лингвистических методов, как метод анализа словарных дефиниций, компонентный анализ, контекстологический, стилистический и интерпретационный анализ.

The article is devoted to the problems of interrelation between the logical and semantic levels of thinking. This approach allows us to reveal the essential latent patterns of linguistic structures serving as verbal packaging of the results of complex mental procedures. Comprehension of existing concepts in logic and linguistics in the context of cognitive science can contribute to solving actual practical and theoretical problems of modern linguistics related to the correlation of logical-cognitive and syntactic categories.

The article discusses the valence concept as a phenomenon at an intersection of syntax and lexical semantics. The author also provides the types of valence and directions that help to study the valence theory in parallel with case grammar. The study aims to look into the reasons why the derivative word may be the reflection of underlying grammatical case meanings.

According to the author insincerity is an integral feature of the modern society, that is why nowadays there is a preoccupation in the study of insincerity from the point of view of linguistics. Insincerity externalizes itself in insincere discourse. The aim of the article is to analyze assertive speech acts as an expressive mean of insincere discourse in English political texts. Having analyzed the examples, the author comes to a conclusion, that assertive speech acts are the effective means of expressing an insincere discourse.

This article is devoted to adaptation as one of the types of transformation of texts. Adaptation as a reorganization of the text based on the techniques and methods providing it. These techniques and methods are considered here from the point of view of different researchers, there are also some classifications of them to define differences of views on the same subject.

В статье представлена классификация английских наречий в рамках функционально-прагматического подхода к языку, в контексте которого выделяют пропозитивные и модусные наречия. Авторы проводят количественный и сравнительно-сопоставительный анализ данных функционально-прагматических типов наречий и их групп на материале романа Э. Хемингуэя «For whom the bell tolls».
