The article discusses theoretical issues related to ensuring the quality development of students' professional competences in psychological and educational prevention of deviant behavior of adolescents and young people; the content-technological aspects of the need for the teacher to develop well-adjusted pedagogical support strategies in the organization of the independent learning activity of the students, the development of the subject's position of students in the learning process, are updated.

The article deals with the problems of elementary school student’s development while teaching mathematics; justifies the choice of the subject “mathematics” to develop cognitive universal learning activities in elementary school students; defines practical work in math classes; provides the example of practical work on mathematics for students at elementary school and describes the stages of its implementation with the features of developed cognitive activities.

The paper outlines the main concepts of intercultural communication in modern foreign language educational environment. It touches upon the major problems of teaching intercultural communication regarding culture and language teaching approaches, goal setting, culture and language based activities. The action plan of teaching culture and language consists of several stages: cultural concept orientation, reception, cognition, evaluation and reflection and is introduced as an effective tool for intercultural competence development.
