The digitalization is a kind of modern trend in many areas, including educa-tion. It involves following innovations, continuous development, as well as improv-ing the competencies of managers in all areas. This leads to an increase in the im-portance of information and communication competence of both the head of the preschool institution and the entire teaching staff and requires participants in the educational process to be ready to use information and communication technolo-gies to solve professional tasks.

The article examines the modern requirements of society to the universal competencies of university graduates through the prism of publications in the leading media. Employers expect professionals from universities with a set of necessary professional and supra-professional competencies.
