Abstract
The article discusses some problems in the field of interior design, based on a comparative analysis of various historical epochs interiors, reveals contradictory tendencies of its development, the complexity of expression means search, specific for the spirit of the time, the definition of interior as an extremely generalized artistic model of the world is given.
