Abstract
The article deals with the mental phenomenon of rigidity and the impact of this quality of personality on the success of pedagogical communication. The results of the study of rigidity of students of pedagogical Institute, the necessity of purposeful work on the development of future teachers of the optimal level of rigidity in communication.
