Abstract
This article discusses a number of problems arising in the study of the Russian language among students in grades 5-7. The author attempts to reveal the main causes of difficulties in the process of learning the Russian language, and also develops a set of tasks for the successful assimilation of the curriculum by representatives of all nationalities living in the territory of the Russian Federation.
