the aim of the article is to study the methods used when translating proper names in the fantasy novel «Hunger games» by S. Collins. It was found out that the most popular ones are transcription, translation with the use of the traditional variant and semantic translation.

в данной работе исследуются способы передачи реалий в переводе произведения жанра фэнтези «Голодные игры» автора С. Коллинз. Выявлено, что чаще всего применяются такие приемы, как калькирование, транскрипция, перевод при помощи традиционного соответствия, введение семантического неологизма.
