The article describes one of the models of deployment of work in regions with objects of intangible cultural heritage. The generally accepted definition of the object of the intangible cultural heritage is given, the main organizational, scientific and methodological principles and forms of this work of the Center for the Development and Conservation of Folklore, a branch of the Center for Popular Culture of the Ulyanovsk Region, and the first results obtained are disclosed.

Accumulated vast teaching and research material confirms the need for revival and application possibilities of folk decorative-applied art as an effective means of artistic and aesthetic development of personality in educational work with students. The important role of the educational impact of the national decorative-applied art is devoted to wooden architecture of the Tyumen region and the Tyumen city in particular. In the carved decor of Tyumen buildings traditions of Russian decorative art, folk motifs are widely used. Introduction in future students-teachers education of wooden architecture of the Tyumen region will have a definite aesthetic impact on the opinion of the authors. The practical application of this knowledge will be found on arts and crafts classes. Comprehension of compositional ornament construction or pattern of wooden architecture may appear in the production of their creative works.
